Brett S. Sheldon, Founder & President


During his 20 years in commercial real estate, Brett Sheldon has developed a broad base of expertise in all facets of the industry including site selection, development, construction and leasing. Brett has applied this comprehensive perspective to a variety of corporate facility projects.

Since 1992, company experience includes projects for Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Circuit City, Lowe's Home Improvement, Marshalls, PETsMART, Eckerd, Walgreens and more. Hard corner projects range from freestanding stores to power centers.

Before founding Salvo, Brett directed the western-division leasing operations of Pan Pacific Development Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly traded Revenue Properties of North America. Pan Pacific is currently the largest "everyday necessity item" retail real estate investment trust in the western United States. At Pan Pacific, Brett managed a $300-million portfolio of development and leasing projects in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

During the 1980s, Brett worked with Southwest Cornerstone Development Co. to develop and lease more than one million square feet of retail space and half a million square feet of office space. As Cornerstone's Senior Vice President, he was involved in projects including market research, site selection, land acquisition, contract negotiations, financing, design, construction, leasing and sales.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler and of M.I.T.'s Birthing of Giants program, Brett holds real estate brokerage licenses in Texas and Nevada. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute, past President of the Dallas Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization of America and founding President of the Dallas Chapter of World Entrepreneurs Organization.
